Abstract
► The proteolytic enzymes in the venom of four cone snails species were evaluated. ► All venom samples displayed proteolytic activity on gelatin. ► Protein expression was differential along the venom duct of Conus marmoreus. ► Conoproteases participates in venom processing and envenomation of the prey.
