Abstract
► The venom of fishing spider Dolomedes sulfurous contains hundreds of peptides with distinct molecular mass distribution modal. ► The venom inhibits voltage-activated Na+, K+ and Ca2+ channels in rat DRG neurons. ► The venom contains components with inhibitory effects on TTX-R Na+ and T-type Ca2+ channels. ► The venom exhibits neurotoxic effects on zebrafish.
