Abstract
⺠This is the first outbreak of Simarouba versicolor intoxication reported in cattle. ⺠Clinical signs: weakness, tremors, incoordination, reluctance to move, recumbency. ⺠Main lesions: necrosis of lymphoid tissues and necrotizing enterocolitis. ⺠The poisoning was reproduced experimentally in bovines. ⺠Data obtained lead us to conclude that S. versicolor is poisonous to cattle.
