Abstract
⺠We studied the effects of clonidine in mice injected with Tityus discrepans venom. ⺠Clonidine reduced serum amylase, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine. ⺠Clonidine reduced the degranulation of pancreatic acini induced by the venom. ⺠Clonidine synergized hyperglycemia and did not affect leukocyte cell count.
