Abstract
► JZTX-I docked at the voltage sensor paddle of Kv2.1. ► JZTX-I inhibited Kv2.1 channel activation by trapping voltage sensor in the resting state. ► Four residues (I273, F274, E277, and K280) in the paddle motif of Kv2.1 were crucial determinants for JZTX-I binding.
