Abstract
► The venom proteome of Acanthoscurria paulensis was examined for the first time. ► The LD50 of A. paulensis venom in mice was 25.4 ± 2.4 μg/g ► A. paulensis venom induced behavioral and physiological changes in mice. ► A. paulensis venom presented edematogenic activity in rats. ► Low molecular mass venom compounds induced an inotropic effect on frog heart.
