Abstract
⺠Toxin composition from most of the analyzed species of Amanita in Colombia, have α -amanitin in concentrations ranging from 50ppm to 6000ppm. ⺠Concentrations of α-amanitin in the pileus were significantly greater than in the stipe; phalloidin and phallacidin were only present in Amanita bisporigera. ⺠Higher toxin concentrations in culture medium indicated that it stimulates toxin production and that toxins are excreted to the medium. ⺠Chromatographic profiles stated as a taxonomic tool to classify species according to subgenus classification in Amanita.
