Abstract
We introduce a cyclic generalized ψψ-weakly contractive mappings for a map in a metric space and originate existence and uniqueness results of fixed points for such mappings. Examples are given to support the usability of our results. At the end of the results, an application to the study of existence and uniqueness of solutions for a class of nonlinear integral equations is presented.
► Contractive condition implies continuity of a map. ► Cyclic contraction need not to be continuous. ► We introduce a new cyclic contractive type map in generalized form. ► We originate existence and uniqueness results of fixed points for such mappings. ► Examples and applications to a class of nonlinear integral equations are presented.
