Abstract
This work describes the effect of polymeric microcarriers on the in vivo intra- nasal uptake of azolmitriptan for brain targeting. Moreover, the suitability of microcarriers for nasal administration was evaluated by in vitro and ex vivo mucoadhesion and permeation tests. Microparticles based on chitosan glutamate promote the rapid central uptake of zolmitriptan.
