Abstract
⺠Synovial fluid is a challenging matrix to analyse. ⺠Within-subject experimental design to compare treatment methods. ⺠Hyaluronidase treatment gives better intra-assay precision and signal than diluted or neat samples on the Luminex platform. ⺠These benefits were inconclusive in MSD assays. ⺠We recommend hyaluronidase treatment of synovial fluid for osteoarthritis biomarker research.
