Abstract

âº We measured the expression of selected genes in rHuEPO-stimulated UT-7 cells. âº The EGR1 gene was expressed in response to rHuEPO in UT-7 and UT-7/EPO cells. âº The dose-response of EGR1 expression to rHuEPO was comparable to the proliferative response. âº Normal human sera did not stimulate EGR1 expression in UT-7/EPO cells. âº Patient serum with neutralizing antibodies to rHuEPO inhibited EGR1 expression.
