Abstract
⺠We present complementary methods to evaluate contact hypersensitivity (CHS) in mice. ⺠Ear swelling correlates with ear weight, vascular permeability, and MPO activity in ear extracts. ⺠Concentration of IFN-γ in ear extracts confirms ear swelling data. ⺠Proliferation assay and IFN-γ production by lymph node cells support CHS results. ⺠Flow cytometry enables detection of IFN-γ+ TCRαβ CD8 CHS-effector cells.
