Abstract
⺠We evaluate the QuantiGene assay on guinea pig samples as an alternative to RT-PCR. ⺠Quantigene permits mRNA quantification from diverse tissues in high-throughput. ⺠Gene expression can be measured with or without mRNA purification. ⺠TLR-4/7/8 agonists upregulate guinea pig Th1-polarizing cytokines and chemokines. ⺠Guinea pigs are a relevant model for examining responses to TLR-4/7/8 agonists.
