Abstract
► We outline a systematic approach to assess surface regeneration conditions for biosensor experiments. ► A single automated seven-step experiment assesses one, two, and three regeneration cycles between injections of analyte. ► Results from the seven-step sequence aid in selecting subsequent regeneration conditions to test, if necessary. ► As an example, the method determined an unconventional six-pulse regeneration for a difficult antigen/antibody system. ► The technique can be applied to any biosensor assay that requires regeneration of a surface.
