Abstract
⺠The African trypanosome can be used as a novel immunogenic display platform. ⺠Trypanosomes can be engineered to display exogenous epitopes on their surface coat. ⺠Fixed trypanosomes with engineered surface coats can elicit specific antisera to the exogenous epitope. ⺠Engineered trypanosomes can be used as an alternative approach to generating anti-peptide antisera.
