Abstract
We use variational methods to study the existence of standing pulses in almost periodic channels. Since there is no group of symmetries as in the periodic case for which the functional is invariant, the negative gradient flow will be utilized to generate the convergent Palais–Smale sequences. Starting with suitable initial data, we prove that the infinite number of standing pulses can actually be found out in almost periodic channels.
