Abstract
⺠Consumption of disinfected drinking water was associated to adverse health outcomes. ⺠Disinfection by-products are carcinogenic in animal models. ⺠Cyprinus carpio were exposed to drinking water in the presence of disinfectants. ⺠Modulation of liver cytochrome P450s and genotoxic effects were investigated. ⺠Water disinfection may be responsible of metabolism perturbation and DNA damage.
