Abstract
► The mRNA levels of Sult1a1 in female gpt delta mice were higher than in males. ► The levels of estragole-DNA adducts in the females were higher than in males. ► Mutant frequencies of the gpt gene in the females were higher than in males. ► It is suggested that the genotoxic mechanism is related to the carcinogenesis.
