Abstract
⺠We show in vivo induction of oxidative DNA damage by H2O2, CdCl2 and CuSO4 in Drosophila melanogaster. ⺠We show in vivo detection of oxidative DNA damage by modified alkaline Comet assay using FPG/ENDOIII in Drosophila. ⺠D. melanogaster is recommended as a sensitive and suitable in vivo model for detecting oxidative DNA damage under genotoxicity assessment of chemicals.
