Abstract
⺠3,3â²-Diindolylmethane (DIM) is the bioavailable active compound generated in stomach from consumption of cruciferous vegetables. ⺠DIM has multi-targeted pleiotropic effects in tumor cells sparing normal cells. ⺠We reviewed cellular, molecular and biological effects of DIM in cancer prevention and therapy. ⺠DIM is undergoing NIH sponsored clinical trials for prevention and therapy of cancer.
