Abstract
⺠Veratric acid negatively regulates iNOS expression in RAW264.7 and BV-2 cells. ⺠LPS-induced phosphorylation of NF-κB and IκBα is inhibited by veratric acid. ⺠IFN-γ expression is down-regulated by veratric acid via the inactivation of STAT-1. ⺠Veratric acid inhibits IL-6 expression, mediated by the inactivation of GSK-3β and STAT-3. ⺠Veratric acid suppresses the phosphorylation of JNK, ERK1/2, and p38.
