Abstract
⺠We established macrophage-specific CD98hc deficient mice. ⺠We examined the various functions in CD98hc defect peritoneal macrophages. ⺠CD98hc plays essential roles in phagocytic and antigenic presenting activities. ⺠IL4-induced cell fusion is impaired in CD98hc defect peritoneal macrophages.
