Abstract
► A gene coding for an alkaline phosphatase (FmALP) was isolated from Funneliformis mosseae. ► FmALP was expressed in Pichia pastoris and functionally characterised. ► FmALP exhibited highest substrate specificity for glycerolphosphate. ► FmALP was highly expressed in intraradical hyphae and suppressed at high Pi supply.
