Abstract
The aim of our study is to assess the analytical and diagnostic performances of 9 laboratory tests that identify citrullinated-proteins or peptides antibodies: anticyclic citrullinated peptides CCP2 (Inova, Eurodiagnostica and phadia's companies), anticyclic citrullinated peptides CCP3 (Inova's company), anticitrullinated recombinant rat filaggrin (Genesis'company), anticitrullinated vimentin (Orgentec's company), deiminated Epstein Barr virus nuclear antigen 1 (Astra's company) and deiminated fibrinogen (Pr Serre's home-made test). This study includes 102 patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis and tested positive to CCP2's Immunoscan test from Eurodiagnostica company. This study points out a noticeable difference in sensitivity depending upon the antigen substrates and also a different pattern of antibodies values' distribution around the cut-off area regarding each test. No correlation of numerical values has been found between these tests impeding any numerical prognostic values of a possible rheumatoid arthritis'severity form.
