Abstract
Sepsis and severe infections are common causes of morbidity and mortality in intensive care units. The markers of infection available 24Â hours a day are rare and expensive. An abnormal aPTT waveform (MDA II bioMérieux) is a sensitive marker for the diagnosis and the prognosis of severe sepsis.
