The free space optics (FSO) systems are considered as a suitable alternative for optical fiber networks potentially solving the issues like high transmission capacity and ease of deployment of wireless links, thus providing a solution for the last mile bottleneck. But FSO links are confronted with different kinds of atmospheric turbulences hindering the performance of the system. Recent technologies, radio over free space optics (RoFSO) and radio over fiber (RoF) ensure the applicability of FSO as well as enhanced link connectivity and performance, with RoFSO being greatly considered because of its ease of installation. This paper reports the power spectrum performance of RF signal over optical modulated FSO links for different channel models.
