Abstract
Inhibiting myocardial cell death and fibrosis after acute myocardial infarction (AMI via permanent LAD ligation) is attenuated with treatment post-MI with a cell permeant peptide targeting MAPK kinase 2 (MK2)-MMI-0100. Daily MMI-0100 treatment results in improved function and decreased LV dilation in the 2Â weeks post-AMI investigated.185
