Abstract

The absorption coefficient of dusty plasma in the given infrared region is deduced in this paper, based on which we find that it can be deemed as the total contributions of the common plasma and the dust particles. The contribution of dust particles is definitely deduced, and the results manifest that its absorptive ability depends on their number density and radius. Meanwhile, the absorption coefficient of dusty plasma also has an important dependence on the electron number density. Finally, two criterions are proposed by defining a ratio which can well reflect the contribution of dust particles on the dusty plasma's infrared absorption characteristic.
