Abstract
⺠Metabolomic analysis was done for hearts from hamsters with dilated cardiomyopathy. ⺠Disturbances in phospholipid homeostasis were initiated at pre-disease phase. ⺠Increased oxidative stress levels were suggested and confirmed at disease phase. ⺠Cardioprotective prostaglandin levels were increased at disease phase. ⺠Current metabolomic analysis provides mechanistic insights into DCM pathogenesis.
