Abstract
⺠Yeast two-hybrid screening revealed Zfp90 as a novel NRSF-binding protein. ⺠Zfp90 attenuated the repressor activity of NRSF by inhibiting its binding to DNA. ⺠Knockdown of Zfp90 in cardiac myocytes led to reduced expression of ANP and BNP genes. ⺠Overexpression of Zfp90 in ventricular myocardium increased the expression of ANP and BNP genes. ⺠Expression of Zfp90 mRNA was significantly upregulated in mouse and human failing hearts.
