Abstract
- Cytokinin has been elucidated as a promoter of branching, resulting in increased spikelet numbers in rice.
- Auxin provided by the primary shoot apex suppresses axillary bud growth; however, CK reduces the inhibition and leads to the outgrowth of lateral branches.
- The decreased level of CK resulted in the increasing of apical dominance and represses the growth of axillary bud.
