Abstract
⺠Loss-of-function mutations of patched and cos2 cause non-cell autonomous overgrowth. ⺠Non-cell autonomous proliferation occurs in a position-dependent manner. ⺠ptc and cos2 mutantclonesdo not proliferate well and are sensitive to apoptosis.
