Abstract
Liraglutide exerts effects on human adipose cell precursors, inhibiting proliferation and differentiation, while stimulating the expression of the insulin-sensitizing adipokine APN. These effects could contribute to the actions of GLP-1 receptor agonists on body weight and insulin sensitivity.
