Abstract
⺠Methotrexate has anti-inflammatory and anti-lipolytic effects. ⺠Inflammation associated with obesity can be reverted by methotrexate. ⺠Methotrexate-treated obese mice exhibit less inflammation in adipose tissue. ⺠In vitro, methotrexate is also effective in isolated or co-cultured adipocytes and macrophages. ⺠Anti-inflammatory and anti-lipolytic drugs can control obesity-associated pathologies.
