Abstract
⺠Overexpression of androgen receptor transforms the androgen-dependent growth to independent one. ⺠Amplification of AR gene is found in 30% of castration-resistant prostate cancers. ⺠Tumors treated with antiandrogens show missense mutations. ⺠AR splice variant are found in castration-resistant prostate cancers.
