Abstract
⺠Regulation of mitochondrial Ca2+ uptake is elusive. ⺠We review the role of p38MAPK/nPKC isoforms and Mg2+ in the control of Ca2+ uptake. ⺠We study the effect of these kinases on aldosterone production. ⺠Attenuation of mitochondrial Ca2+ uptake reduces aldosterone secretion.
