Abstract
⺠Transgenic mouse model containing the intact human growth hormone gene locus. ⺠The majority of human growth hormone (GH) producing cells co-localize with mouse GH. ⺠Human GH RNA levels are increased by dexamethasone and decreased by thyroid hormone. ⺠Growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) receptor levels are increased by dexamethasone. ⺠GHRH stimulates human GH release in the presence of dexamethasone in culture.
