Abstract
Thermal diffusivity of silver nano-fluid synthesized using radiation technique at a concentration of 5.889 × 10−3 M and irradiated with γ-radiation at different doses was measured. The measurements were performed by thermal lens method. A diode laser (λ = 532 nm) was used as an excitation beam while a He–Ne laser beam (λ = 632.8) was utilized as a probe beam. The thermal diffusivity of Ag nano-fluid samples measured at room temperature increase with the increasing nanoparticles size ranging from 44 nm to 64 nm. A similar behavior of nonlinear refractive index measured using a single beam z-scan are presented and discussed.
