Abstract
Laser communication plays an important role in a broad range of fields. In need of the faster data rate of the flourished information communication, we propose a hybrid scheme that utilizes photon's polarization property integrated with on-off keying modulation to improve the data rate. The theoretical analysis indicates that this polarization property of photon is a useful dimension to combine with other schemes to obtain a higher performance, even in the heavy atmosphere turbulence, showing its potential in optic communication in the future.
