Abstract

In this article, the interaction of light with bounded and free electrons of a novel nanostructure in an absorbing medium is investigated which the surface plasmon resonance as a main feature of optical parameters in an absorbing medium is probed and simulated. This phenomenon provides a powerful means of confining light to nanostructures interfaces which can generate intense local electromagnetic fields. With plasmons, photonic signals can be manipulated on the nanoscale and can be used in diverse biomedical applications such as high resolution optical imaging, electromagnetic field enhancement, and biosensing. Furthermore, the absorption index effects and its thickness layer influences on surface plasmon resonance peak position and its shift frequency and amplitude are studied. Also, the comparison between absorbing medium and non-absorbing will be evaluated.
