Abstract
In this paper a novel contour descriptor and its matching technique is proposed. The method describes the contour based on global space symmetry, and then adapts a new probability matching technique to complete the shape recognition. The method is tested on data set of MPEG7 Core Experiments Shape-1 Part B, experiments show that the proposed method is suit for shape description and matching.
