Introduced species: domestic mammals are more significant transmitters of parasites to native mammals than are feral mammals

- The relevance of each host species in parasite spillover was estimated.
- Results stated that domestic mammals are more relevant than wild ones.
- This is mainly due to a larger amount of alien parasites they have introduced.
- Management is feasible by means of anti-parasitic treatment and ownership education.
