Abstract
⺠Genetic diversity was searched for in Echinococcus vogeli populations from the Brazilian Amazon. ⺠Nucleotide sequence polymorphisms of mitochondrial and nuclear genes were looked at. ⺠No significant genetic divergence was found between samples from human and wild animal hosts. ⺠There was significant genetic differentiation between western and eastern Amazonian populations.
