Abstract
⺠2-Desoxoparaherquamide (2-DOPH) has direct and marked effects on motility in cut Caenorhabditis elegans worms. ⺠2-DOPH is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) antagonist in C. elegans. ⺠Monepantel and derquantel may not suffer from a negative interaction if used together. ⺠Classical nAChR antagonists lack affinity for the monepantel-sensitive receptor. ⺠Permeability properties of C. elegans may limit its use in anthelmintic screening.
