Abstract
Multiple frame digital fringe projection technique is widely used for measuring the 3-D surface shape. In dynamic situations single frame analysis techniques are desirable. In this paper we discuss a Hilbert transform based single-frame analysis. Hilbert transformation method requires only one fringe pattern for the extraction of phase reducing the calculation time. The method is easy to implement, and it is capable of conducting automated measurements at video frame rate. The application of the proposed method for curved surfaces is emphasized. A few experimental results are presented.
