Abstract
We analytically study the (1 + 1)-dimensional spatial optical solitons in weakly nonlocal nonlinear media with cubic–quintic nonlinearity (fifth order nonlinear media) and cubic–quintic–septic nonlinearity (seventh order nonlinear media). Explicit solutions are derived, which include optical bright solitons, singular solutions and singular triangular periodic solution.
