Slow and fast light using fiber Bragg grating F-P cavity

In this paper, we analyzed the properties of fiber Bragg grating F-P cavity with different grating parameters at two ends. The features of transmission spectra and group velocity were investigated under different parameters including slight increase for the differences of the lengths of the two gratings, the periods of the two gratings, the refractive index modulation depths of the two gratings. The characteristics of the slow light in fiber Bragg grating and fiber Bragg grating F-P cavity were also compared. The results of this study can be useful for actual experiments and applications in using the fiber Bragg grating F-P cavity in the slow light.
