Abstract
We present the experimental results of the linear polarization reflectance images of an anisotropic scattering medium containing both spherical and cylindrical scatterers. The characteristic features in the two-dimensional linear polarization reflectance images and their relations with the parameters of the anisotropic scattering medium are examined. It is shown that the linear polarization reflectance is sensitive to the existence of anisotropic scatterers in a scattering medium. The linear polarization images can be used to extract quantitative information of anisotropic turbid media including some biological tissues.
