Abstract
A simple monolithic device for simultaneous generation of collinearly propagating orthogonally polarized light beams of equal intensity is presented. The common cube beam splitter masked by two linear polarizers is used to achieve the purpose. This is experimentally verified through the use of a Stoke's polarimeter. It is also shown experimentally that the same setup behaves as a polarization phase shifting interferometer.
