Abstract
We provide here a theoretical description of optical scattering by a spherical two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG), based on the boundary-value method and using modal series expansion of the scattered and transmitted fields. We obtain the current induced on the 2DEG, the bistatic and monostatic radar cross section by system.
